Job summary

NuAxis, LLC in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Data Center Technician I to join our full-time team. The role provides onsite, entry-level operational support for the Albuquerque Data Center (ADC) and Data Center Operations Center, handling monitoring, cabling, inventory, and documentation to sustain 24x7x365 operations.

The position requires hands-on hardware knowledge, ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and federal holidays, and a commitment to accurate reporting and ticketing

Qualifications

• Basic hands-on knowledge of data center hardware and IT infrastructure.
• Familiarity with servers, network equipment, cabling, power connections, and basic hardware troubleshooting.
• Ability to work onsite in a secure data center environment.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and federal holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical monitoring of data center infrastructure (power, HVAC, temperature/humidity, UPS, fire systems, security).
• Monitor resources and tickets, update Service Desk entries, and route to proper teams.
• Support installation, removal, and basic troubleshooting of servers, network devices, storage, and data center infrastructure.
• Assist with rack-and-stack activities and cabling documentation.
• Maintain inventories and DCIM database records.
• Provide after-hours support as required for 24x7x365 operations.
