Job summary

LightEdge Solutions is seeking a Facility Engineering Technician II to support 24x7 data-center infrastructure, monitor and troubleshoot electrical, cooling, and life-safety systems, and perform preventive maintenance. The role requires working independently within approved procedures while escalating complex issues to senior staff.

Responsibilities include documenting equipment status, supporting vendors and commissioning, and ensuring reliability and redundancy of critical facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years in data-center operations or mission-critical facilities.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings with guidance.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine facility rounds and log conditions, alarms, readings, and actions.
• Monitor BMS/EPMS/DCIM; investigate abnormal conditions and escalate per procedures.
• Operate and maintain electrical, mechanical, cooling, life-safety, and control systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and post-maintenance checks.
• Respond to incidents, stabilize when safe, and escalate as required.
• Follow MOPs/SOPs/EOPs; maintain accurate equipment records and diagrams.
• Support vendor coordination, project turnover, and commissioning tasks.
