Job summary

Taleo is seeking a Data Center Technician to support installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of servers, networking equipment, and cabling. You will collaborate with Data Center Leads to ensure reliability and performance in our data center operations.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year of general work experience, and hands-on hardware repair skills. Travel to data center locations and PPE experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• A Real ID or other federally accepted identification for U.S. travel.
• Minimum 1 year of general work experience.
• Basic knowledge of or hands-on experience with computer hardware and repair.
• Ability to travel to supported data center locations.
• Strong professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to multi-task and manage priorities with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable wearing PPE for extended periods.
• Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and move at least 50 pounds.
• Capable of walking long distances throughout the day.
• Willingness to work in environments that may include hot aisles and indoor areas reaching 90+ degrees Fahrenheit during certain times of the year.
• Preferred: At least 1 year of computer hardware repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of servers, networking equipment, and cabling.
• Work with Data Center Leads to ensure reliability and performance.
• Pull and manage inventory according to documented processes.
• Develop skills in server repair techniques, including replacing hard drives, RAM, motherboards, and other components.
• Assist with physical tasks such as moving and racking equipment for special projects.
• Hardware/component replacement focus with potential future software work.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by management to support operational goals.
