Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited is seeking an entry-level Data Center Technician in Monroe, LA. You will gain hands-on exposure to enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking equipment, while working with a collaborative team to troubleshoot issues and maintain performance.

You will participate in training programs to stay current with technologies and best practices, assisting with MACs, inventory management, and security documentation as you build foundational data center

We are seeking a motivated Data Center Technician to support the reliability and performance of critical IT infrastructure. This role provides hands‑on exposure to enterprise‑level hardware and networking technologies in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment—ideal for individuals looking to launch a career in data center operations or IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot & Resolve: Diagnose and resolve hardware issues across servers, storage systems, and network devices.
• Install & Maintain: Install, configure, and maintain servers, networking equipment, and structured cabling.
• Ticket Management: Accurately track, update, and close service tickets in a timely manner.
• Collaboration: Partner with engineers and fellow technicians to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Continuous Learning: Participate in training programs to stay current with emerging technologies and best practices.
• Inventory & Asset Management: Support hardware inventory tracking and lifecycle management.
• Moves, Adds & Changes (MAC): Assist with installations, labeling, rack/stack, and connectivity during upgrades and deployments.
• Compliance & Security: Adhere to site security protocols and ensure proper documentation of all activities.

Qualifications: entry Level

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred)
• Strong interest in IT infrastructure, networking, and hardware
