Job summary

Zenlayer Inc. is seeking Internet Data Center (IDC) Engineers/Technicians to be stationed at its data center in Akron, Ohio. The role requires physical strength and flexibility to provide full IDC service coverage, including on-call duties and travel as needed.

Responsibilities include installing and maintaining servers and network hardware, cabling, DCIM tools, and ensuring security and safety protocols. Strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work across shifts are essential

Qualifications

• Knowledge of networking, servers, and OS fundamentals including TCP/IP.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot onsite and perform hardware updates.
• Excellent communication and safety/compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Install and test data center cabling, devices and MACs (Moves/Adds/Changes) as per work orders.
• Maintain data center equipment, monitor service availability, and report issues.
• Provide on-site smart-hands support at multiple sites within SLA.
• Assist in asset management, inventory, and documentation.
