Job summary

NextGen | GTA: A Kelly Telecom Company is seeking a Data Center Technician to support rack-and-stack activities, cabling, and equipment installation in a hands-on environment with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

The role involves MACD moves, FRU replacements, and maintaining accurate installation records while coordinating with site leadership. Travel up to 100% may be required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, or IT infrastructure support.
• Comfortable working in a physically active environment with emphasis on safety and quality.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, installation documentation, and MOPs.

Responsibilities

• Install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment, and related infrastructure per designs and docs.
• Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
• Install rack PDUs, connect equipment to power sources, and verify power/connectivity.
• Perform hardware provisioning, component installation, and out-of-band management connections.
• Conduct basic testing and validation, including continuity testing and fiber verification.
