Job summary

NextGen | GTA: A Kelly Telecom Company is seeking a Data Center Technician to support rack-and-stack activities, cabling, equipment installation, testing, provisioning, and operational support. The role emphasizes hands-on tasks in a physically active environment with a strong focus on safety and quality.

Travel up to 100% may be required. Candidates should have 1+ year of data center operations experience and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and MOPs.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of data center operations experience.
• Experience with structured cabling, telecom, or IT infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret installation documentation and MOPs.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment, and related infrastructure.
• Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling.
• Install PDUs and verify power connectivity.
• Perform provisioning, hardware installation, and OOB management connections.
• Conduct basic testing and validation, including continuity and fiber verification.
• Handle MACD changes and FRU replacements per procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, and as-built docs.
• Elevate design or safety concerns to senior staff.
