Innova Solutions seeks a Data Center Technician for an 8-month contract in Abilene, TX. The role involves installing and maintaining structured cabling, cabinets, racks, and related infrastructure in data centers.

You will read drawings, follow guidelines, and ensure safetyt and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in telecom/structured cabling, fiber installation/testing experience, and familiarity with Fluke, OTDR, and VFL testers.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of telecom/structured cabling experience (data center experience a strong plus).
• Proficient experience installing, terminating, and testing fiber (single-mode/multi-mode).
• Proficiency with testers such as Fluke, OTDR, and VFL.

Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for Data Center Technician
Position type: Full-time – Contract
Duration: 8 Months
Location: Abilene, TX

As a Data Center Technician, you will:

• Install, test, splice, service, and decommission structured cabling systems including fiber optics, copper, communications, and other low voltage systems.
• Build and remove cabinets, racks, cable trays, pathways, and related data center infrastructure.
• Perform physical installations and removals with precision, safety, and attention to detail.
• Follow all Company and customer safety standards to ensure an Accident-Free Everyday environment.
• Uphold quality, production, and industry best practices in every installation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area to support efficient and safe operations.
• Read and follow project drawings, specifications, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Apply broad understanding of structured cabling installation, routing, labeling, and commissioning.
• Ensure installations meet design intent, customer requirements, and industry standards.
• Highly reliable — shows up on time, prepared, and ready to work.

The ideal candidate will have:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of telecom/structured cabling experience (data center experience a strong plus).
• Proficient experience installing, terminating, and testing fiber (single-mode/multi-mode connections)
• Proficiency with various testers - Fluke, OTDR, and VFL

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience splicing fiber.
• FOA certifications, BICSI certifications, or similar credentials.

Referral Program:

• This position qualifies for a Referral Bonus amount of $250-$1000 dollars.

Pay Range* Between$30 - $35 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
