Job summary

GoDaddy is seeking a hands-on Data Center Technician for our Ashburn, VA data center. This in-office, full-time role supports mission-critical storage, network, and server systems, working a Monday–Friday afternoon shift.

You will troubleshoot complex hardware, deploy devices, manage inventory, and mentor junior technicians while ensuring SLA targets with business partners. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in data center operations, strong OS and hardware knowledge, and experience with ITSM/ITIL.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on data center experience resolving complex issues.
• Proficient in Linux and/or Windows systems administration.
• Experience with networking concepts and IT hardware components.
• Scripting experience (Python/PowerShell/Bash) preferred.
• Familiar with ITSM concepts such as ITIL 4.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex hardware failures on storage, network, and server systems.
• Perform break-fix on servers, including migrations while preserving RAID configuration.
• Deploy servers and network devices (switches, load balancers) with testing and installation.
• Own inventory and logistics, receive equipment in Workday, ship equipment, and run inventory audits.
• Manage ticket queue to meet SLAs, train junior technicians, and maintain documentation.
