Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Data Center Building Engineer in Ashburn, VA. The role handles maintenance and operation of critical mechanical and electrical systems in a data center, with 12-hour shifts and a 4-on/4-off schedule (6pm–6am, Wed/Fri and alternating Saturdays). Reports to Facilities Manager.

This position requires 2–5 years of HA environment experience and a college/technical degree is preferred. A CFC refrigeration license is a plus, along with ability to work with vendors and manage

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of electrical and mechanical experience in high availability environments.
• College/Technical degree preferred, will consider equivalent experience.
• CFC refrigeration license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receives direction from the Building Engineer Lead.
• Ensure uptime of infrastructure systems and monitor critical systems.
• Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical systems for the data center.
• Learn and use building controls for chillers, HVAC, cooling towers, and fire systems.
• Provide maintenance support and propose improvements to procedures.
• Oversee third party activities and services; assist with basic security duties.
