LightEdge Solutions is seeking a Data Center Technician to support ongoing monitoring and daily management of building systems and physical infrastructure at Lightedge facilities. You will follow SOPs to maintain power, cooling, biometric security, and fire suppression systems, reporting to the Facilities Manager in Papillion, NE.

Responsibilities include diagnosing problems with data center equipment, installing servers and networking gear, coordinating new client service installations,

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or 1–4 years in a technical environment.
• Network cabling termination experience: Ethernet, CAT6, Fiber.
• Experience with day-to-day data center maintenance tasks.
• Familiarity with telco central office equipment/transport systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience documenting policies and procedures.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and troubleshoot data center equipment with team and vendors.
• Install servers and networking gear into racks and cabling.
• Coordinate new client service installations with project managers.
• Receive and document incoming shipments.
• Respond to alarm events affecting infrastructure.
• Follow Change Control processes and MOPs for activities.
• Assist in layout, installation, and documentation of racks and cages.
• On-call rotation for after-hours support and maintenance.
• Develop knowledge of LightEdge infrastructure and building systems.
• Resolve cabinet/cage power and infrastructure issues with clients.
• Ensure uptime and efficiency of 24x7 facilities.
• Share technical knowledge with DC Ops and Support teams.
• Other duties as assigned.
