Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. seeks a Data Center Technician (mechanical/electrical) for a rotating 12-hour day shift (6 AM–6 PM) in Lancaster, PA. The role involves maintenance of HVAC systems, chillers, and related infrastructure within a data center, with potential for other shifts.

Responsibilities include preventive and reactive maintenance, responding to alarms, and coordinating with vendors under strict processes and safety standards. Strong MS Office skills and good communication are required.

Qualifications

• Training in a technical discipline with apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends/holidays.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily site inspections of Mechanical & Engineering systems and equipment.
• Ensure environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
• Respond to Building Management System alarms and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure compliance with processes and laws.
• Alert management if subcontractor performance does not meet requirements.
• Complete planned preventive and reactive maintenance on equipment.
• Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC client problems.
• Perform facility walk-throughs and take meter readings from UPS, PDU cables and utilities.
• Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects.
• Follow established procedures and quality standards, maintaining maintenance records.
• Complete required training to perform duties.
