Job summary

Zoom seeks a hands-on Data Center Technician to troubleshoot complex systems, monitor infrastructure, and support cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, on-site environment. You will manage hardware deployments, audits, and repairs while coordinating with Network Engineering, SysAdmin, and Finance to ensure reliable operations.

In a structured hybrid setting, you may work nights or weekends and lift up to 75 lb.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years experience in related field or certificate or degree programs such as Industrial Technology, Computer Electronics and Networking Technology, Information Technology.
• Understand network fundamentals and hardware troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with data centre equipment including console, KVM, and power control.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and carry out tasks through JIRA ticketing system and apply diagnostic methods.
• Support Network Engineering, SysAdmin, and Project Management teams in data centre tasks.
• Manage hardware asset tags, conduct quarterly and year-end audits with Finance; repair servers and replace components.
• Coordinate with Telco Provisioning to process cross-connect orders and support circuit test and turn-up.
• Provide on-location support for hardware deployments and generate status reports on utilization, downtime, performance and costs.
• Manage spare parts inventory and perform self-diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Ensure data centre environment safety and adherence to operating procedures.
