Job summary

GStek, Inc. is seeking a qualified Data Center/Systems Administrator to support Army-level IT infrastructure at Fort Carson. The role requires an active Secret clearance and hands-on experience with Windows Server, data center operations, and security procedures.

Responsibilities include resolving complex IT issues, maintaining SOPs, updating diagrams and SharePoint records, and supporting change management and inventory tasks in a mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Active government security clearance (Secret) is required.
• Minimum 3 years in system administration or data center support experience, preferably in an Army Enterprise environment.
• Familiarity with security and data center management procedures.
• IAT Level II certification or higher.
• Windows Server operating system training.
• College degree in computer science, cybersecurity or related field.

Responsibilities

• Resolve hardware, software, and general IT issues including complex IT systems and applications.
• Perform routine electrical and HVAC operations related to data center duties.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain servers, storage devices, and peripheral equipment.
• Utilize tickets to manage and resolve data center tasks.
• Provide technical assistance to customers and diagnose network, storage, and server interactions.
• Update data center SOPs and document changes in rack elevations, floor plans, and data center records.
• Support change management process and provide SME input for approved changes.
• Conduct routine data center inspections to maintain physical security standards.
• Maintain data center records on SharePoint and reflect IT investments and systems in APMS.
• Assist in inventories and routine cleaning of the data center.
