Job summary

Darwin Recruitment is seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations for large-scale projects in Chicago. You will coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site activities to meet safety, quality, and schedule targets while collaborating with project management, owners, and design partners.

This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a thorough understanding of drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent on large-scale construction projects.
• Experience on data center, mission-critical, industrial, or complex commercial projects.
• Manage subcontractors, trades, manpower, and daily site activities.
• Coordinate multiple trades against project schedules.
• Understand construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work.
• Site logistics, constructability reviews, and short-term look-ahead planning.
• Proven ability to manage safety, quality, schedule, and field risk.
• Track project progress, milestones, punch lists, and closeout activities.
• Lead owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and construction safety practices.
• Strong leadership and communication for large field teams.
