Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Structural Engineer to join its design team in Seattle, Washington. The role focuses on designing resilient, cost-effective DC facilities and ensuring world-class uptime for AWS customers.

You will work with Architects, Engineers and Designers to solve problems, review drawings, and develop structural concepts for prototypical DC facilities across the Americas and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years in structural design for industrial/commercial projects.
• 5+ years in data center, mission critical, hospital, school, commercial or residential tower facilities.
• Proficiency with building codes incl. IBC/ASCE; PE license in next 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Design prototype DC facilities and support large-scale projects.
• Provide technical guidance and review milestone drawings.
• Solve large-scale structural implementation issues and ensure code compliance.
• Travel internationally as needed.
