Job summary

ERM is hiring Safety Managers for a data center construction project in Waddell, Arizona. This full-time, 3-month role involves establishing and continuously improving safety programs onsite, with day and night shifts available.

You will lead site safety audits, incident investigations, and develop site-specific safety plans while collaborating with project teams and subcontractors to meet client safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of HSE experience in construction, with data center projects preferred.
• CHST/CSP certification a plus.
• Experience managing high‑risk activities: electrical safety, excavation, fall protection.
• Strong communication and teamwork with subcontractors.
• Knowledge of multi-employer worksites.

Responsibilities

• Develop site-specific safety plans and ensure subcontractors submit required safety documentation.
• Oversee site safety audits, document violations, and lead root-cause investigations.
• Prepare safety performance reports for project managers monthly.
• Lead Site Safety Coordinators and promote a strong safety culture.
• Provide safety technical support and coordinate pre-task risk assessments.
• Submit local, state, and internal safety reports and track investigations.
• Monitor safety performance and coordinate emergency response and business continuity plans.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Safety/Occupational Health/Engineering

7+ years HSE experience in construction

CHST/CSP certification a plus

High-risk activities management (electrical, excavation, fall protection)

Teamwork with subcontractors

Multi-employer worksites knowledge
