Job summary

Galaxy is seeking a Site Development Associate to advance data center sites through entitlement and permitting in the Lubbock, Texas area. The role requires coordinating with municipalities, landowners, and utilities while supporting land acquisition efforts and due diligence for site development.

You will travel regionally in Texas and partner with legal, engineering, and construction teams to manage project status, risks, and timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in real estate development, with direct involvement in at least one completed development project from acquisition through entitlement.
• Demonstrated experience entitling property and working with municipalities, councils, or public officials.
• Comfortable presenting to public bodies, boards, and internal leadership.
• Working understanding of Texas oil, gas, and mineral rights and how they affect real estate transactions.
• Basic understanding of real estate purchase contracts, title, and closing process.

Responsibilities

• Lead site entitlement efforts including zoning, platting, and land use approvals.
• Be the primary contact with municipalities, counties, and public officials for projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with mayors, city managers, and county staff.
• Deliver presentations to city councils, planning boards, and other public bodies.
• Identify, evaluate, and help obtain permits for site development and coordinate with public works and TxDOT.
