Job summary

Digital Realty Trust, L.P. is seeking a Site Engineer II for night shift to support data center operations. The role requires expertise across electrical and mechanical systems, CMMS, BMS, and safety standards, ensuring minimal downtime and strict SLA adherence.

You will participate in incident reporting, change management, and SOP development, while coordinating with the Engineering Operations Manager to maintain 24x7 uptime at multiple data center sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in mission critical facilities operating / engineering or equivalent equipment experience (UPS, HVAC, generators, fire/life safety).
• Hands-on electrical or mechanical skill with cross-competence in the other area.

Responsibilities

• Understand facility layout and operation of MEP systems and illustrate site system one-lines with good accuracy.
• Understand equipment nomenclature, locations, and specs.
• Understand SOO’s, SOP’s, EOP’s and escalation procedures.
• Work with CMMS to create/edit/change orders and incident reports.
• Maintain and inspect equipment to support 24x7 data center uptime and SLA compliance.
• Develop/update SOPs for site equipment and participate in audits.
