Job summary

Super Micro Computer seeks a highly skilled Service Engineer to support on-site installation services and deliver total customer satisfaction. The role blends data center tasks with call center support, requiring flexibility to troubleshoot hardware and software issues for customers.

Responsibilities include hardware deployment, server and network installation, routine maintenance, and collaboration with engineering. Up to 50% travel to customer sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or associate degree with relevant experience.
• Strong hardware diagnostics and BIOS/drivers knowledge.
• 2+ years in servicing complex X86 systems and in customer support.
• Experience in enterprise/server hardware environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline technical support to end-users via phone, email, and ticketing system.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Escalate complex problems to higher-level support teams when necessary.
• Perform physical installation, rack and stack, cabling, and networking of data center hardware.
• Assist in the deployment of server, storage, and networking equipment.
• Monitor and maintain data center infrastructure to ensure uptime.
• Perform regular maintenance and upgrades on data center hardware and software.
• Collaborate with data center staff to address and resolve technical issues.
• Document and report data center activities and incidents.
• Travel up to 50% of the time to customer sites and data centers.
