Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Security Manager to join the Infrastructure Operations team in Manassas, VA. You will lead security across multiple facilities, identifying gaps and coordinating rapid fixes with vendors and internal teams.

In this role you will monitor security metrics, enhance electronic surveillance and access controls, educate occupants on false alarm reduction, and develop security policies and reports for management.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors.
• Experience with access control and CCTV systems.
• 2+ years of process improvement procedures experience.
• Experience in physical security best practices including application of physical security systems, investigation techniques, management of contract security guards and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational security excellence in several facilities within a short driving distance.
• Identify and fix physical security gaps and shortcomings.
• Interface with vendors involved in security construction, repairs, daily security operations and patrols.
• Extract metrics and observe improvements by looking at hard data.
• Improve electronic surveillance and access controls.
• Educate data center occupants on false alarm reductions.
• Write and implement security processes and procedures.
• Write reports and communicate with management on the status of physical security operations.
