Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Security Manager to oversee security programs across multiple availability zones and campuses. You will assess existing programs, resolve complex security challenges, and drive security projects at the cluster level with a focus on policy compliance and vendor oversight.

The role emphasizes strategic development, mentoring, and collaboration with facilities, IT operations, and leadership to reduce security gaps and improve incident response.

Qualifications

• Experience with physical security design and implementation of Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems.
• Preferred: Program Security Officer or Security Manager duties including interpreting and implementing requirements within physical security disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and improving security programs across assigned availability zones, sites, or campuses.
• Resolving security problems in the absence of SOPs and adapting plans to changing scenarios.
• Contributing to strategic goals for the cluster with potential regional impact.
• Delivering security projects at the cluster level or leading a security project team.
• Ensuring security program compliance with AWS policies and procedures.
• Assessing vendor compliance and defining security metrics.
• Creating SOPs to align with team strategy and supporting investigations with HR, Legal, and security teams.
• Participating in business continuity/resilience planning, development, and deployment.
• Owning COEs, writing action items, and resolving them.
• Delivering QBR inputs and writing PR/FAQs and 1-pagers.
