Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Clifton, TX is seeking a Data Center Security Manager to lead physical security across assigned availability zones and campuses.

You will assess and improve security programs, resolve issues where SOPs are missing, and set strategic goals for your cluster while delivering security projects at the group level. You will work with HR, Legal, and global security, mentor staff, and drive risk reduction through metrics, SOP optimization, and proactive measures.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Program Security Officer/Manager overseeing security operations.
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
• Experience owning strategy and end-to-end delivery with senior leadership communication.
• Experience building and leading high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess and improve security programs across zones, sites, or campuses where strategy is not defined.
• Resolve security issues in the absence of SOPs and adapt plans to changing scenarios.
• Help develop strategic goals for the cluster with possible regional impact.
• Deliver security projects at the cluster level or lead a project team.
• Ensure compliance with AWS security policies and procedures.
• Assess vendor compliance and set security metrics; request corrective actions.
• Contribute to risk management by making trade-offs and recommendations.
• Create, optimize, and retire SOPs to keep processes aligned with strategy.
• Support investigations with HR, Legal, global security, and law enforcement.
• Participate in business continuity/resilience planning, development, deployment.
• Own COEs, write action items and resolve them.
• Deliver QBR inputs and contribute to PR/FAQs and narratives.
• Partner with peers to meet AZ/campus objectives.
• Communicate proactive measures to reduce misses and plan mitigations.
• Recruit, interview, and begin mentoring.
