Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Physical Security Engineering to lead a team of engineers across AMER Leased/Owned data center projects.

You will set technical direction, ensure design quality, and collaborate with AWS Security, Real Estate, and consultants to deliver secure, scalable campuses. This role requires deep CPTED, HVM, and PIDS expertise, with a focus on building robust security architectures across Greenfield, BTS, and Brownfield sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 12+ years of physical security design experience for data centers or large facilities.
• 5+ years of experience managing and developing engineering teams.
• 3+ years of physical security design experience in data center or large-scale facilities.
• Experience managing external design consultants and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing team of Physical Security Engineers across AMER Leased/Owned projects.
• Set technical direction and QA/QC standards for security designs covering cameras, access control, intrusion, and perimeter security.
• Direct pre-design strategy, due diligence, and risk assessment coordination for new campuses.
• Oversee construction administration, RFI responses, submittals, and handoff to Security Program Managers.
• Engage senior stakeholders, manage vendor relationships, and drive programmatic improvements.
