Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Data Center Security Installation Project Manager (Deputy Project Leader) to join the Security and Electronic Systems unit in Sterling, VA.

The role focuses on administering large data center electronic security installation projects at the Sterling site. Responsibilities include financial management, on-time delivery, kickoff leadership, forecasting, procurement, change proposals, and coordination with the GC and trades.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (EE or related) with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience on construction projects ranging from $500k to $10M.
• Experience with contract drawings, subcontracts, addendums, specs, change orders, RFIs, submittals.
• Experience with CPM Scheduling.
• Knowledge of design techniques for precision plans and drawings.
• Strong interpersonal and writing skills; problem solver.
• Ability to plan and organize activities.
• Proficiency with Computers including MS Office, Blue Beam and PDF.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall financial management of the project.
• Ensure on-time project completion.
• Lead project kick-off meetings (PKOM).
• Forecast cash flow and manpower needs for projects.
• Order materials, tools, and equipment.
• Prepare price proposals and change orders.
• Deliver monthly reports on budget, schedule, cash flow and manpower.
• Identify cost-saving measures and quality improvements.
• Ensure safety regulations are followed.
• Coordinate with general contractor and other trades.
