Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Security Specialist to lead physical security operations across AWS data centers in the Glendale area. You will own post orders, security procedures, incident response, and collaboration with onsite security, vendors, and operations teams to safeguard personnel and infrastructure.

The role requires proven leadership, flexibility in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to drive security improvements while balancing operational needs and customer workloads.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors.
• Experience with physical security best practices and management of contract security guards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage physical security operations and develop post orders.
• Define security procedures and handle site incidents.
• Coordinate with onsite security forces and participate in construction coordination meetings.
• Test security equipment, conduct badge audits, investigate incidents.
• Update security procedures and provide training to contract security officers.
• Manage vendor relationships and drive process improvements.
