Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Security is seeking a Data Center Security Specialist to help safeguard data center facilities within the GovCloud region. You will work in a control room or multiple sites, drive security improvements, and coordinate with security vendors on guards, electronic systems, fencing, and access controls.

You will develop procedures, perform data-driven analyses, and deliver training to data center personnel while reporting status to leadership.

Qualifications

Experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to drive process and system improvements.
Experience using CCTV, access control and intrusion systems.
Experience with various Access/Intrusion control Systems in a Control room environment.

Responsibilities

Perform standard operational security tasks across multiple facilities.
Drive security awareness campaigns to enhance vigilance and effectiveness.
Use workflow tools to track key performance metrics.
Lead security investigations across campus facilities.
Oversee physical security vendors that provide guards, electronic security systems, door construction/repair, fencing, and access controls.
Promote security strategy and culture daily to achieve security goals.
Support or own security projects.
Provide security awareness training to data center personnel.
As this is a GovCloud region, the selected candidate requires US Citizenship or equivalent status.
