Job summary

Manhattan Construction Company is seeking a Safety Manager 2 to enforce safety, health, and environmental policies on construction sites. This role leads, mentors, and collaborates with Safety Manager 1 and project teams to eliminate hazards and promote a culture of safe practices.

Responsibilities include administering insurance programs, coordinating OSHA visits, conducting training and investigations, and ensuring compliance with federal and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent safety experience required.
• Professional safety certifications (STS(C)/CHST) preferred.
• Extensive industry safety knowledge and compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Enforce company safety, health, and environmental policies on projects.
• Lead safety practices and mentor Safety Manager 1 and engineers.
• Promote continuous safety improvement and incident prevention.
• Administer CCIP/OCIP or other insurance programs on site.
• Coordinate OSHA site visits and insurance provider reviews.
• Conduct safety training, incident investigations, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with 29 CFR 1926/1910 and regulations.
• Collaborate with project teams to reinforce safety culture.
