Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Safety Engineer to implement the Zero Injury Safety program at project sites and ensure a safe environment for team members, subcontractors, and visitors. The role includes coordinating safety activities, audits, and OSHA reporting across sites, with opportunities at levels I and II based on experience.

The position requires strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills, plus the ability to travel up to 100% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in safety preferred.
• Or high school diploma with CHST or STS, OSHA 30, and five years construction experience.
• Current driver’s license.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multitask.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and administer safety program at each worksite.
• Document and track safety violations; conduct audits and incident analysis.
• Review safety submittals and monitor trade partner work plans.
• Provide safety information and attend safety meetings.
