Job summary

Pkaza seeks a Retrofit Project Manager - Data Center Owner's Rep to lead critical facilities construction in Charleston, SC. The role requires directing contractors, managing budgets, schedules, and change orders, and ensuring delivery on time and within design standards.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in data center construction, strong client-facing skills, and proficiency with MS Project, Primavera P6, and AutoCAD. Travel to sites is expected as projects span nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) preferred.
• Experience managing data center construction projects.
• Budget management of $20M+ for multiple projects.
• 5–10 years in data center construction industry.
• Active membership in AFCOM, ASHRAE, 7x24 Exchange, etc.
• Strong client facing and relationship management skills.
• Familiar with design processes for data center systems.
• Solid admin and scheduling capabilities.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.
• Military veteran experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain liaison with contractors and vendors to manage day-to-day activities on critical facilities projects.
• Ensure project responsibilities are met by contractors and vendors.
• Manage multiple projects and negotiate contracts as needed; create and manage schedules.
• Develop project plans including cost, budget, timeline, and change orders.
• Assist with reporting and RFPs to contractors.
• Deliver Built-to-Suit projects with value engineering emphasis.
• Uphold company standards in project delivery by all participants.
• Manage contracts finances to protect company interests and client relations.
