Job summary

Peter Kazella and Associates, Inc. is seeking a Retrofit Project Manager – Data Center Owner’s Rep in Charleston, SC to lead construction programs for mission-critical facilities.

You will oversee day‑to‑day activities, manage budgets, schedules, and contractor performance, ensuring on-time delivery to design standards. Qualifications

• BA/BS is a plus.
• Experience managing Data Center Construction Projects as an Owner or as a General Contractor.
• Experience managing a budget of 20mm or more.
• 5–10 years relevant experience in the Data Center Construction Industry.
• Belong and attend professional organizations such as AFCOM, ASHRAE, 7×24 exchange, PTC, DatacenterDynamics / DCD, Uptime, iMasons, Bisnow, etc.
• Client facing / client relationship / client management skills.
• Must be familiar with the design process of building systems for data center and mission critical projects.
• Solid Construction Project Management experience.
• Effective communicator – emails, phone and face to face.
• Ability to work independently.
• Travel as needed to project sites.
• Solid Admin skills.
• Computer savvy: MS Project, Excel, P6 Oracle Primavera, AutoCAD a plus.
• Military veteran experience a huge plus (Navy nukes EMN/ETN/MMNs etc.).

Responsibilities

• Maintain liaison with contractors and vendors to manage day-to-day activities affecting delivery.
• Ensure day-to-day project responsibilities are met by contractors/vendors.
• Manage multiple projects; negotiate contracts; create/manage project schedules.
• Develop Project plans including costs, budget, scheduling, timelines, change orders.
• Assist with reporting and RFPs to Contractors.
• Deliver Built-to-Suit projects with value-engineering emphasis.
• Roll out Company Standards for Project Delivery.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, equipment rental, expenses).
• Represent the company in project meetings.
• Act as liaison with managers of all company departments.
• Maintain all logs to track project progress.
