Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Development Project Manager for Retrofit Data Center Construction in Irving, TX. The role oversees design, preconstruction, and construction activities across projects, coordinating with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, and Operations teams.

The position emphasizes managing budgets, schedules, and program updates, with frequent executive-level communications and adherence to campus master plans and capital budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Five+ years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures including Lump Sum, Construction Management @ Risk, and Design Build project delivery methods from conceptual development through procurement to close out.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for executive updates, and Excel for budgets.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects on campus(es) and maintain updated budgets, schedules, and status reports for each.
• Create and communicate updates on development program & project status for executive reviews.
• Work with stakeholders, design, and construction teams to create a master development program for site(s), including a complete campus design solution and capital budget.
• Manage entitlement and permitting needs for each assigned site project(s).
• Implement and manage multi-phased site development plans to achieve time, budget, and quality standards.
