Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited seeks an Infrastructure Repair Technician for our data center environments in Ashburn, VA. You will diagnose and repair server hardware, storage, and network devices, performing replacements, documenting work, and ensuring prompt resolutions in a fast-paced setting.

You will collaborate with engineers and stakeholders, participate in on-call rotations, and travel up to 15% as needed.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in computer hardware, networking and troubleshooting.
Strong technical background in computer hardware, networking, and troubleshooting.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting and resolution of hardware problems on servers, storage systems and network devices.
Repair and replacement of faulty components including server hardware, storage and network devices.
Manage tickets and close them timely with accurate documentation.
Participate in root cause analysis with cross-functional teams to address underlying causes.
Monitor and maintain data center equipment and update ticket portals with findings and actions.
Maintain inventory of network devices, spare parts and RMA equipment; participate in training.
