Salute is a leading provider of data center infrastructure services focused on uptime and reliability. We seek a Data Center Operations Technician to install, monitor, and maintain critical infrastructure, responding to incidents and coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

The role includes asset management, cabling, and supporting upgrades, with a strong emphasis on safety and procedures. A background in data center operations and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• 2+ years in data center, mission-critical, or colocation environments.
• Knowledge of data center operations, hardware installation, asset management, and infrastructure support.
• Experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting server/storage/network equipment from multiple vendors.
• Understanding of structured copper and fiber cabling, patching and testing.
• Experience using ticketing systems and asset management tools.
• Ability to interpret SOPs, maintenance tasks, and project plans.
• Strong troubleshooting and prioritization in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day operational support to ensure reliable data center facility operations.
• Respond to incident tickets, service requests, and change orders promptly.
• Install, rack, cable, and decommission server/storage/network equipment per standards.
• Prepare equipment for installation with asset tagging, staging, and testing.
• Replace failed hardware components and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Monitor data center infrastructure using BMS and respond to alarms.
• Maintain asset records and support upgrades and preventative maintenance.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams on projects.
• Manage structured cabling, copper and fiber installations, testing, and labeling.
• Support capacity planning and vendor-led maintenance activities.
