Job summary

Salute is seeking a Data Center Operator to oversee the operational integrity of electrical, mechanical, and monitoring systems in a mission-critical data center.

The role emphasizes safety, proactive maintenance, and rapid response to abnormal conditions, ensuring uptime above 99.999%. You will work with Site Manager, MSOs, and vendors to maintain peak efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Extensive experience with data center critical systems is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA, NEC, and life-safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions of facility systems.
• Perform planned and ad-hoc preventive maintenance for electrical, mechanical, and fire/life-safety equipment.
• Conduct periodic inspections of HVAC, electrical distribution, and mechanical spaces.
• Respond to indoor emergencies and air quality concerns.
• Create, close, and track work requests; initiate and verify completion of work.
• Monitor service contractors and recommend improvements.
• Provide technical expertise across data center systems.
• Coordinate with management, contractors, and consultants for commissioning and testing of new systems.
• Manage and supervise Multi-Skilled Operators in day-to-day operations.
• Be on-call for emergency responses and support after-hours maintenance.
