Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support data center projects for its Mission Critical division in Des Moines, IA. You will understand quality requirements, review documents, perform inspections and maintain quality records on-site.

Three years of construction experience are required, with LEAN and data center exposure preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to collaborate with teams and ensure compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• A minimum of three (3) years of construction-related experience is required.
• Construction field experience is preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment and LEAN principles is desirable.
• Data center experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand project scope and quality requirements and ensure construction aligns with contract documents and standards.
• Schedule, conduct and evaluate site inspections and quality monitoring of daily and upcoming work.
• Prepare inspection and test plans and document testing, measurements and reports.
• Identify and report non-conforming work and track it on the log.
• Oversee daily reports, punch lists, quality reports and as-built drawings.
• Keep up with standards and educate project teams on compliance changes.
• Collaborate with safety to address hazards and remedy processes.
• Maintain documentation and store records per policy.
• Build relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors and internal teams.
