Job summary

Span Construction & Engineering, Inc. seeks a QC Inspector for a mission-critical data center project. The role is on-site, focused on task-by-task quality inspections across trades, ensuring zero-defect standards from commissioning through owner acceptance.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in field QC/inspection, familiarity with NCR/CAR processes, and proficiency with mobile inspection tools. Willingness to relocate locally for project duration and travel as needed.

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or equivalent; associate degree/technical cert preferred.
3+ years field quality control/inspection experience in commercial/industrial construction; data center experience preferred.
Experience with NCR/CAR processes and closeout documentation.

Responsibilities

Perform frequent field inspections against drawings, specs, ITPs, and installation requirements.
Enforce Hold Points and Witness Points, ensuring sign-offs before concealment or energizing.
Document inspections with photos, measurements, and notes; maintain same-day turnaround.
Write and track NCRs through corrective actions to closure; coordinate with field teams.
Communicate with superintendents and foremen to flag issues and verify corrective work.
