Job summary

Siemens AG is seeking a Proposal Engineering Manager for the Data Centers space in Wendell, NC. You will lead a team of Offers Application Engineers, collaborating with Sales, Business Development, and execution teams to produce technically sound and commercially viable proposals.

The role requires a strong background in electrical engineering, leadership experience, and practical knowledge of power distribution systems, plus the ability to navigate complex customer terms and pricing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or management.
• 10+ years in a manufacturing corporate environment.
• 4+ years of leadership experience managing a team.
• Proficiency with low/medium voltage power distribution products.
• Familiarity with IBC, NEC, NFPA, ANSI, IEEE, UL, NEMA standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Offers Application Engineers delivering customer proposals that meet technical and pricing targets.
• Manage team capacity, resource planning and staffing for near- and long-term needs.
• Coach and develop staff through performance feedback and training plans.
• Incorporate lessons learned from projects into future proposals.
• Track KPIs: timeliness, cycle time, hit rate, utilization, NCCs.
• Drive process improvements with Business Innovation/Excellence teams.
• Provide technical and commercial support for complex hardware/software designs.
