Actalent is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer for a Columbus, OH project. The role supports onsite construction engineering activities, coordinating with project teams, subcontractors, architects, and management to align with schedule, quality, and contract requirements.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years as a project engineer in construction, with data center and large-scale project experience, and is willing to travel up to 70%.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years as a project engineer in a construction setting.
• Experience with general contractors, subcontractors, or construction contractors.
• Experience supporting large industrial, manufacturing, mission-critical, or data center projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering activities with contract requirements and project schedule.
• Support planning, design interpretation, and construction methods.
• Process RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, minutes, and docs.
• Assist with constructability reviews and resolve design conflicts.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, management, field teams, architects, engineers, and client reps.
• Maintain procedures, material reports, procurement, controls reporting, forecasting, and resource coordination.
• Identify and mitigate risks affecting schedule, quality, cost, or execution.
• Participate in meetings with A/E, client, subcontractor, and management.
• Provide technical support to onsite construction teams.
