Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Data Center Superintendent for a large hyperscale data center project in Columbus, Ohio. You will lead field operations, coordinate multiple trades, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence from start to finish.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial or data center supervision, strong leadership, ability to read drawings, and willingness to travel up to 70% with five 10-hour shifts and an 8-hour Saturday.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of superintendent experience on industrial, data center, or mission-critical projects.
• Experience coordinating multiple trades and field activities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Onsite work in Columbus, Ohio for the duration of the project; travel up to 70%.
• Eligible for TN visa where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations and supervise construction activities on the site.
• Coordinate subcontractors across civil, structural, electrical, and carpentry trades.
• Monitor schedule performance and drive milestones to meet project targets.
• Conduct daily site walks to address safety, quality, and schedule concerns.
• Review drawings and plans for constructability and alignment with objectives.
• Coordinate inspections, turnover activities, and punch-list completion.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Engineers to resolve field issues.
• Support QA/QC efforts and maintain safety standards.
