Job summary

Actalent in Port Washington, WI seeks a Project Engineer to join the Mount Pleasant project team on a large-scale data center construction program. This full-time, onsite role supports electrical construction activities from planning through turnover, collaborating with project managers, field staff, and clients.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in CM or engineering and 1–5 years of experience, with proficiency in reading drawings, project scheduling, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or engineering.
• 1–5 years of construction experience preferred.
• Internship or project experience with electrical or data center projects is desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Proficiency with MS Office; MS Project helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in planning and executing electrical construction projects.
• Support procurement, material tracking and vendor coordination.
• Prepare RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project docs.
• Track schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients, general contractors, engineers, and field teams.
• Maintain project records, meeting minutes, and cost tracking.
• Review drawings and contract documents for accuracy.
• Assist in estimating, budgeting, and cost control.
• Support commissioning and startup activities for electrical systems.
• Participate in project meetings and provide progress updates.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and codes.
