Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Project Engineer - Data Center Construction to join our Data Center Innovations division in Pasco, WA. This role supports project management through documentation, procurement, and coordination with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure effective project delivery.

Responsibilities include RFI processing, submittals, site plans, and safety coordination. A BA/BS in a relevant field is preferred, with experience on large data center projects.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Construction Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, or related field.
• Experience on large data center projects is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret contracts, drawings, specifications and estimates.

Responsibilities

• Support project management through documentation, procurement, and coordination with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Assist in developing scope of work for subcontractors and coordinating field activities.
• Create and publish site-specific work plans and oversee safety standards in coordination with the Safety Team.
• Assist with monthly financial reporting and billing substantiation.
• Respond to queries about contracts, drawings, and specs in a timely manner and resolve issues as directed.
