Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Project Engineer - Data Center Construction in Dallas, TX to support project delivery through documentation, procurement, and coordination with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. This role requires collaboration across project management, field teams, and design professionals to ensure on-time, on-budget execution.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, or comparable degree.
• Experience on large data center projects is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, specifications, contracts, proposals, estimates, and related documents.

Responsibilities

• Support project management through documentation, procurement, and coordination with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Assist in subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and field activities; prepare monthly financial reporting.
• Develop and process submittals, RFI responses, and site work plans.
• Uphold McKinstry safety standards and coordinate with Safety Team on safety plans.
• Communicate with architects, engineers, owners, and stakeholders to support the Project Manager.
