Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Senior Project Engineer - Data Center Construction in Dallas, TX to oversee complex data center projects from initiation to closeout. You’ll manage on-site coordination, procurement, subcontractor scopes, and crew scheduling while ensuring fiscal performance.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration with the Data Center Innovations team. PE/LEED designations are preferred; 2 years of experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a relevant field.
• 2 years of Project Engineer experience required.
• Knowledge of construction management and financial acumen.
• Experience on large data center projects preferred.
• PE and LEED designations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site point of contact for clients, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Support RFP processes and scope development for subcontractors.
• Coordinate procurement and expediting of materials with vendors.
• Oversee scheduling and coordination of trades.
• Review subcontractor billings and assist with client billings and project controls.
• Maintain and publish cost issue logs and project accounting reviews.
