Job summary

Sundt is seeking a Project Engineer for the 2nd shift (4:00 pm - midnight) to serve as the technical source on the project, with deep knowledge of drawings, specs, shop drawings, and change orders. You will maintain professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, and may assist in supervising Field Engineers.

The role features a clear progression: Step I entry level to Step II and Senior levels, with advancement based on experience and performance.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to supervise team.

Responsibilities

• Understand PMP components and change management.
• Develop procurement schedule and coordinate submittals.
• Understand prime contract, subcontracts and budgeting; manage costs.
• Maintain As-built documents and close-out requirements.
• Participate in form design and takeoffs for concrete and utilities.
• Plan, develop and supervise project team members.
• Prepare quantity reports and meeting minutes.
• Review change orders and budget adjustments.
• Identify and prevent potential claims.
