Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking a Data Center, Assistant Project Manager to join our Columbus, OH team. This role supports project delivery for critical environments and data center projects.

Responsibilities include developing and updating project progress, coordinating schedules, estimates and budgets, and communicating with clients, consultants and subcontractors. A bachelor's degree and 3+ years of construction experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Architecture, Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Construction Management.
• 3+ years of relevant construction experience.
• Ideal experience is mission critical/data center projects or critical environments such as hospital or casino.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, tablets and smartphones.
• Working knowledge of scheduling applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update and monitor project progress using QMS program, including scheduling, estimating and budgeting to ensure that construction of project parallels with schedule.
• Perform quantity take offs, cost estimates and bid solicitation.
• Purchase and coordinate delivery of materials ensuring optimum prices, quality and conformance to budget.
• Review invoices and change orders; negotiate with subcontractors and vendors.
• Review shop drawings and relocate to job sites as needed; attend weekly site meetings and assist in status reporting.
