Job summary

Kelso Southwest is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support a major data center project in Tulsa, OK. The role involves coordinating documentation, procurement, scheduling, cost tracking, and day-to-day execution with project and field leadership.

The ideal candidate has experience in commercial or industrial mechanical construction, with exposure to piping, HVAC, process piping, or related mechanical scopes. Data center or mission-critical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of construction project experience, preferably with a mechanical contractor.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager with day-to-day project planning and execution.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, drawings, and project documentation.
• Assist with procurement, material tracking, equipment deliveries, and long-lead items.
• Track project schedules, milestones, costs, and progress.
• Coordinate with superintendents, project engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and other trade partners.
• Help identify field conflicts, schedule impacts, and project risks and drive timely resolution.
• Participate in project meetings and maintain accurate action items and follow-up.
• Assist with cost reporting, forecasting, billing, and change management.
• Maintain communication between project management and field teams.
• Support project closeout, punch-list activities, turnover documentation, and commissioning requirements.
