Job summary

Kelso Southwest seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support a major data center project in Tulsa, OK. The role involves coordinating documentation, procurement, scheduling, cost tracking, and daily project execution with field leadership.

Ideal candidates have 2–5+ years in mechanical construction, including HVAC/piping work, and familiarity with RFIs, submittals, and change orders. Data center experience is a plus. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Tulsa.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of construction project experience (mechanical contractor preferred)
• Experience with commercial/industrial/mission-critical construction
• Knowledge of HVAC, piping, hydronic systems
• Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, scheduling, cost tracking
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day planning and execution
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, drawings, and docs
• Assist with procurement, material tracking, equipment deliveries, and long-lead items
• Track schedules, milestones, costs, and progress
• Coordinate with superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners
• Identify field conflicts, schedule impacts, and project risks
• Participate in project meetings and maintain action items
• Assist with cost reporting, forecasting, billing, and change management
• Maintain communication between project management and field teams
• Support closeout, punch lists, turnover docs, and commissioning requirements
