We're hiring a Senior Construction Manager to sit on the owner's side of the table, protecting the client's schedule, budget and quality standards across hyperscale data center builds.
This is an owner's rep role, so you won't be self-performing. You'll be the client's eyes on site, holding the GC and trade partners accountable from early works through commissioning and turnover.
What you'll be doing
- Representing ownership on site daily, tracking progress against milestone dates including utility energization, equipment setting, dry-in, white space delivery and commissioning readiness
- Reviewing GC schedules, look-aheads, logistics plans and recovery plans, and calling out risk before it hits the critical path
- Overseeing MEP execution across switchgear, generators, UPS, electrical distribution, mechanical piping, cooling and controls
- Managing change orders, RFIs, submittals and pay applications on the owner's behalf
- Driving QA/QC and safety expectations, and running site walks and inspections
- Supporting commissioning and phased turnover, making sure construction completion lines up with Lv1 to Lv5 testing
- Reporting up to the owner's project executive with clear progress, risk and cost updates
What we're looking for
- 10+ years in construction management, with recent hyperscale or mission critical experience
- Background with a GC, owner's rep firm, developer or hyperscaler
- Strong MEP knowledge. You need to be able to challenge a GC on sequencing and equipment installs and be right
- Comfortable with Procore, P6 and standard project controls
- Bachelor's in Construction Management or Engineering preferred, experience carries more weight
- Willing to travel or relocate to site. Rotations are supported
Why it's worth a look
- Owner-side seat with real decision-making authority rather than firefighting on the GC side
- Multi-building campus programs with a pipeline behind them, so it's not a one-project job
- Competitive base, plus bonus, per diem and vehicle or travel allowance
