Job description

Our client is an early stage infrastructure company building the physical foundation required for the next generation of high-performance computing. As the organization expands its development pipeline, it is seeking a Construction Lead who can take technically complex, mission critical projects from construction readiness through commissioning and turnover. This is a high ownership opportunity for a construction leader who knows how to mobilize the right partners, control execution in the field, and deliver high density infrastructure where schedule, reliability, and quality cannot be compromised.

This Role Offers:
  • Competitive executive level compensation with meaningful equity participation.
  • A highly visible leadership role with significant ownership over construction delivery and field execution.
  • The opportunity to help scale a growing portfolio of advanced data center and critical infrastructure projects.
  • An entrepreneurial environment where experienced leaders can move quickly, solve difficult problems, and build repeatable delivery practices.
Focus:
  • Lead GC and EPC sourcing, contracting, and commercial negotiations for complex mission critical construction programs.
  • Direct construction delivery from mobilization through turnover, keeping cost, schedule, quality, and safety priorities aligned across active sites.
  • Serve as the owner side construction authority in the field, driving contractor accountability and resolving execution issues before they affect critical milestones.
  • Coordinate procurement and site logistics for long lead electrical, mechanical, and infrastructure equipment across concurrent projects.
  • Manage RFIs, scope changes, change orders, schedule exposure, and construction risk with disciplined documentation and decisive follow through.
  • Partner with engineering stakeholders to ensure installed power, cooling, controls, civil, structural, and life safety systems conform to approved requirements.
  • Lead commissioning readiness, integrated testing, punch list completion, acceptance, and operational handoff for live critical environments.
  • Build and activate strong relationships with general contractors, EPC partners, specialty trades, and subcontractors to accelerate project execution.
Skill Set:
  • 8 or more years of construction management or owner side project delivery experience, including required data center or critical infrastructure delivery.
  • Demonstrated ownership of GC or EPC contracts and field execution for high density, live critical facilities.
  • Proven ability to control budgets, schedules, procurement, and construction risk across multiple projects or sites at the same time.
  • Practical MEP fluency, including power distribution and high density cooling, with the judgment to hold contractors accountable to design requirements.
  • An established GC, EPC, and subcontractor network that can be engaged quickly to support active construction needs.
  • Hands on experience leading commissioning, integrated systems testing, acceptance, and turnover for live critical facilities.
  • Strong commercial judgment and the ability to navigate contractor negotiations, competing priorities, field constraints, and rapidly evolving project requirements.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineering teams, contractors, vendors, operations stakeholders, and executive leadership.
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationwide to support active construction sites and critical project milestones.
